BSCI started semi notification audit mode from January 2017
Latest news from BSCI: Recently, BSCI held an internal meeting attended by various audit agencies. The main content was that from January 2017, BSCI will no longer fully notify the audit time and will implement semi transparent surprise audits. Unless the end customer explicitly requests a public review time, the BSCI system automatically defaults to semi notification review when the customer approves, unless the customer manually changes to notification review. The specific duration of the window period is also determined by the end customer. The policies of BSCI are constantly changing, and the difficulty level will only increase. The pressure on auditors will also increase! This year, many institutions' qualifications have been cancelled, and the rest are also anxious. As the audited party, we must arrange for BSCI certification as soon as possible.
Our response strategy:
1. If your client is a well-known brand and unwilling to modify the audit method for you, it is recommended to find a way to prepare your own BSCI RSP, which can effectively control risks;
2. If the BSCI certification of the factory is about to expire, even if it is still due in 2-3 months, try to apply for the audit as soon as possible to avoid more investment and trouble caused by the new policy;
3. When the client RSP approved, they repeatedly emphasized to the client that the manual modification of the audit notification form should be Full Annotated. Please note that after January 1, 2017, the BSCI system default audit notification form is Semi Annotated. If not modified, it will be suddenly attacked;
4. The most painful thing is that you cannot choose your auditing agency or the method of notifying the auditing time. It is recommended that you communicate carefully with the auditing agency when confirming the time window, emphasize your difficulties, and try to compress the window time to the shortest possible time.
